With cold and flu season fast approaching, I thought it would be fitting to post a great tea with our herb of the week, Goldenrod. I highly recommend serving it with a healthy dose of honey to bring it all together and to counteract the slight bitterness of the goldenrod, not to mention all the added benefits.
Goldenrod and Ginger Tea
- 3 cups of water
- 10-12 Slices of fresh ginger
- 1 Lemon, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. Fresh Goldenrod (2-3 tsp dried)
- Honey to desired sweetness
Add lemon and ginger slices to water and bring to a boil (simmer longer for a stronger flavor if desired). Add fresh goldenrod and remove from heat. Infuse for 15 minutes, strain and serve with honey.
